  Reminded me of the big buttery charddies from the late 1980s early 1990s in Australia.
  Smooth and rich (buttery), subtle oak but hidden by the MLF.

  From 375ml bottle, restaurant purchase. Excellent condition and not too cold. Mildly reductive with a charred lemon scent and notes of apple, pear, citrus and wet stones on the nose and palate. Reticent at first but came around with aggressive swirling. Worked well with a variety of foods including a veal chop, lobster and even veal chop. Waiter found this after I asked about half bottles and it was not listed. Serendipity!
