Pretty tight on day 1, but opens with time. More savory than fruity (opposite of arpepe) but undercurrents of cherry. Good structure, especially tannin, that makes it a great match for mid weight foods. Nice example of Valtellina at a reasonable price.

From Coravin. Cherry, tar, roses, a little ashy note, with crushed rocks and red berry underpin. In the mouth it has medium plus intensity acidity, a slightly medicinal note to the cherry and berry fruit and chalky textured tannins that dry the mid palate. It's quite 'front to back' of mouth and linear. Fresh though and pleasing. I served this at cellar temperature and I'd suggest that any warmer and the alcohol might prove a little intrusive.
