Dark, dense color. Pencil shavings and leather on the nose. Big on the palate with notes of dark berries, vanilla, perfumed leather. Refined. Long finish. A very young cab with promise, we decanted it for two hours and only glimpsed what the future holds.

Out of the bottle this feels a bit hollow, highly perfumed and missing some body. There is an unusual, somewhat thin profile. However, it comes alive more with some decanting and the last glass is quite classy. One to forget about for a few years.

Nose: Ripe, brambly and wild blackberries, dark purple and black fruits, a pleasant smokey oak, clay-like and muddy forest floor, mushrooms (I missed this), branches/stems and a little bit of deep leather. The nose is a little green as well.. there's almost a green bell pepper there but not really.
Palate: Fresh, bright and deep black and cool blue fruits as well. Bitter earth, firm bare tree oak (imagine removing the bark off), dull black and slightly savory minerals, steeped tea and an underlying spice that lingers on the finish. This has some aspects of drinking hard liquor like a bourbon or whiskey and I don't mean this in a bad way at all.. I wanna say camphor but take this last bit with a pinch of salt.
Attributes: Clear, deep medium ruby on the darker side with a little bit of purpling. Dry with medium-plus amounts of strong, grippy tannin. Medium-minus to medium body with medium-plus acidity. Decent finish of about 12-14 seconds.
Thoughts: This has a nice freshness to it and I'm assuming because of its youth but this kinda all over the place. Give it plenty of time for it to come together.. actually it's hard to see how this will be with time. It's pretty enjoyable but at the same time it's like a wild party at the same time (not in a good way). It was fun and new but would I go again.. probably not. Please try for yourself though, pretty decent.
Other notes: No decant, time in glass only. Bordeaux glass. Served initially ~62° then ~64° and consumed over an hour.

Lots of black fruit on that one. Off the cork pull very tight to it.
