Pours medium straw. The nose is quite inexpressive today. Simple notes of underripe pear, lemon and green apple, and perhaps just the slightest note of flinty reduction and cold cream. Seems to be quite reticent to come from the glass. The palate is a touch more complex, displaying a little cold cream and mineral to go along with the under ripe orchard fruit. The finish is quite sour, which to be detracts a tad. In my mind this is miles behind the 2013 rendition, though a pleasant and restrained chardonnay. Wouldn't surprise me if it picks up some complexity and a higher score with a little bottle age.
