  Finished my second bottle - first one was more lively, but this still gave some hints of aged tannins - leather, some tobacco a bit of cherry and slight mushroom earth. Paired with a slow cook tagine which was a nice match indeed.

  Total surprise of the evening. Had bought at an auction thinking that there would be nothing left but the story of when it had been created, 80 years ago. So happy to have one more to see if the experience of depth and delight can be matched. Paired with slow cooked ribs that were melting like butter to match this brick coloured beauty. Flavours like blackberry, prune, fig, plum, dust, coffee, bark and nutmeg. Round texture and then after 45 minutes, the flavors had disappeared into the ethers.
