Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 91 points

  • Smells of tobacco, truffles, barnyard, tea, cedar, cassis and an array of ground spices meet your nose. This was amazingly young and fresh for 109 years old! The mouth starts with an aged patina of blackberry and cassis. The wine took over an hour before gently fading away. I wonder what vintages like 1989, 1990, 2000 or 2005 will be like at 100 years of age? I imagine they will probably be even better.
