  I decanted this wine at 11AM, and put it back in the bottle at 5PM for a 7:30PM dinner. It was singing!
  Concentrated dark-cherry ice cream, and a bit of chocolate, followed by forest floor, and raw steak. Chewy, with a long lingering presence on the palate. Very intense, but well balanced.
  Went great with rack of lamb at Olio y Limone in SB. This wine was the group's winner in our annual Dal Forno's VS. Quintarelli's wine dinner(although we didnt have any amarones to compare). I think this is a great value for the $100 range, just give it lot's of air time to open up and bloom!

  I opened a bottle of this wine for a tasting on 12/4/2023, after decanting for a couple hours the wine was not ready. Continued to decant the wine for 48 hours and then it was drinking wonderful. Would recommend holding until 2028 or 2029.

  Still young and in her slumber. Good structure and should develop into an elegant wine. Drink again in 5 years (2028).
  
  90 pts right now but should be in 92-95 range as it continues to develop.

  Wow. This was a knockout. Powerful, smooth, balanced, nuanced, it kept getting better and better as the evening went on. Sweet but not, rich but not heavy, great mouth presence, long complex finish. Just coming into its prime. Outstanding.
