Sort of surprised by the relatively low scores. This is a very approachable, silky-textured Brunello with breadth on the palate and a long finish. Very well-balanced and enjoyable now, but don't be afraid to cellar. I believe wines like this help to solidify Brunello di Montalcino as perhaps the best value in fine red wine, anywhere in the world.

Strawberry jam and red fruit on the nose. Lovely pale Ruby in colour. A little spice but very backseat. A little one dimensional in my opinion. Good but not sure it's worth the money

Great nose. Tart red fruit and earthy notes that i associate with a classic Brunello, but the oak influence is too strong. Would guess this sees some aging in barriques. Good amount of concentration and tannins that integrated on day two. A little hot. Touch of mocha on the long lingering finish.
Would like to revisit in 5-10 years.

Great wine, but made me appreciate AP’s Rosso di Montalcino even more. As others have written, this seems a little too one dimensional for the price.

Tasted again a few months on and found it much more expressive. Violets, earthy notes, nice tannins. Slightly higher score this time.
