So enjoyable on every level I don't know where to start. Very hard for me to describe the smells and flavors of gruner.
Nose: stone fruit, green herbs??
Palate: candied grapefruit, hint of pear... endless, fascinating texture and finish.
Either it's off-dry or just bursting with so much flavor that it seems so. Such a fun wine.
If you aren't looking for seashell, I might mistake this for a really great mid-priced Chablis from a riper vintage. At least in terms of pleasure in the mouth.

Don’t open this wine if you only want a glass or two. You will finish the whole bottle. It’s just so drinkable.
It’s lees aged and you can really tell. It has such a full, almost oily mouthfeel, and then some brinyness hiding back there. On the nose I found it hard to pick up anything other than petrol but it was faint. In fact, on the palate everything was quite faint. A good deal of pear, some lemon, guava, and butterscotch. But all fairly quiet. Very very juicy and I can’t put my glass down.
Dr Google says I opened this way too early. Will pick up more bottles to put some age on.
