Started off with a blast of banana and apricot, which the blew off leaving a core of chalky mineral, tangerine, lime, celery leaf, pepper and some alcohol. Palate entry is somewhat creamy but then leans out in midpalate prior to an average finish. Nice saltiness on palate, but the texture is not to my favor. OK, but wouldn't buy again.

A- lime, kerosene, lychee, white flowers, wet stone T- flavors burst on the palate! Lime, wet stone, hint of baking spice, peach, honeydew melon. Lively acidity, complex and changing palate. I could drink a lot of this.

(Nikolaihof Gruner Veltliner Hefeabzug) This was ok but a bit heavy and alcoholic, especially after the Donnhoff. Good rich fruit and some peppery notes but no where near as wispy as the 2005 version. Bordering on tropical. You really have to be picky in the Wachau in 2006. Some great wines were made but also some sucky wines. This was not sucky but damn close.

clear and pale. Pineapple, wax and smoke. Very light. Hint of sweetness. Not my favorite.

Even better than I remembered. Hugely floral nose. Stone fruit and honey on the palate. Wish I had bought more.

Gorgeous floral nose. Dry but honeyed palate. Nice acidity, although not as much as previous vintage. Yum.
