Outstanding St. Joseph. Palate mid-weight and complex with an unmistakable Northern Rhone olive element, balance excellent with fine tannins. Feels very accessible now.

If this had been served blind immediately after opening I might have guessed it to be a well made Barossa Shiraz, especially on the nose. On day 2 it showed more savory and peppery nuance mentioned by JR in the Vinous review and I preferred it then. Lots of power and fruit for the price and likely to improve for the next several years.

Lots of fruit, red berries on the nose. Very easy drinking but heavily sediment. Need to decant and let settle before drinking
