First of five bottles purchased a few years ago. Very dark maroon color, almost opaque that reminds me of a. Russian River pinot. The nose was reticent after PnP but it started to reveal red berry fruit, cherries, dried rose petals. On the palate, the fruit comes through with some earthiness and supported by fresh acidity to pair nicely with the burgers. There is also a bit of tannic finish (like sipping black tea) in the beginning but faded later. Lovely.

Clear and bright ruby color. Dark strawberry fruits, bright, pure cherries, and a smooth liquor finish. Doing well and still youthful after 16 years. Probably not much upside from here, but no rush. A well crafted village wine drinking like a premier cru.

A Chambolle village wine still fresh after 15 years. This has plenty of life in it, not even bricking at this point. Lovely balance, earthy flavors, saddle leather and red fruits. Good for another decade.

An inoffensive burgundy, well balanced, gentle flavors, with enough fruit and verve to make it a good companion for a weekday dinner.

Very refined, subtle well-integrated. Dark cherry, light leather tones, some earthiness. Delicious.
