Medium+ nose intensity with notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, cassis, chocolate, vanilla, toast. Medium+ acidity and medium+ tannin. Still youthful and will improve with ageing. Did not decant. Pop and pour.

Had a taste at a local wine bar using a commercial dispenser. Thought it an easier way than actually opening the 18.
Totally get the subtle notes, berries, cinamon toast, some bitter chocolate and fig. Smooth as silk and one of the most well balanced wines I’ve tasted.
That said, it’s ready to go now, at least this bottle which I can’t vouch for regarding its storage. I’m reassessing whether to go ahead and pull ours for a try in 2024. Thoughts?

Opened at Batard in HK. Decanted but served immediately.
Got more expressive with some air, showing mostly darker fruits, but never really blossomed. Quite inky and viscous on the palate, still brooding somewhat. No extensive notes taken beyond this.
Perhaps infanticide, or not enough air? I don't have enough experience with Opus to be able to tell, but at these prices and my experiences thus far, it's also not a bottle I tend to seek out. I guess there's probably some upside here, but I don't know when the turning point might be for this to unfurl more.

Cherry, earth, graphite, lovely power and a great finish.

93+, more fruit than the 19. Medium body, elegant, red and black fruit, spices. Still lacks a bit on the back palate / finish.
