  • Roagna Barolo La Pira 2007 Vecchie Vigne.
    Fremstår helt fullmoden nå.
    Lys i uttrykket.
    Silkemyk smooth Nebbiolo.
    Nydelig å nyte nå, men frukten synger på siste verset så ikke vent for lenge.
    God lengde med finkornede tanniner. 92p

  • Initially a bit dumb on the nose. But fresh. With air develops lovely refined black cherry fruit and intense minerality but with a bit of a Bretty edge. Could be wrong about that, but noting it.
    Palate is intense but silky, lovely texture. Deep black fruit.
    Lots of tannin on the finish but fresh and wrapped in plenty of matière. Great purity and length.
    Fabulous wine, remarkable freshness for the vintage.

  • Farven er lys teglstens rød.
    Duften en kompleks med toner friske lyse kirsebær, lidt modne, lidt røde helt firske jordbær, lidt modne ribs, lyse toner af læder og lys tobak, toner af lidt røg, små lette toner af jernbanesveller, lyse, lette parfumeret toner af røde blomster, en lille snert af mentol, lidt sort engelsk lakrids.
    Smagen følger duften rigtig godt....alt er fremstår på en let, feminin men kompleks måde.
    Smagen er til den lyse, elegante side. Men samtidig bliver alt båret op, af en stram frisk frugt og komplekse smagsindtryk. Syren er fremme på en rank måde. Tannin af fiske krydderurter/grønt te.
    God lang stram/kompleks frisk eftersmag. Stadig på et tidligt stadie.

  • Roagna Horizontal Tasting Dinner (Dong Lai Shun, Hong Kong): 9 hours upon opening serving into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Flower” day): Pale ruby to the eyes.

    Very nice spectrum of red cherry fruits indeed. A step up on substance from the regular cuvee but still not yet at a level of the previous Asili served indeed.

    93-94 points.

    2 hours upon first serving: Getting very generous on palate for this. Really nicely balanced. The highest differential from first round to second round in the whole tasting in my view. Upgrade to 94-95 points.
