Bosquet des Papes Zoom Tasting. Tasted in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of cloves, fine ground pepper spice, rock dust powdered earth, garrigue, fine red cherries, red plums, lavendar. Developing. On the palate, dry, nice fresh high acidity, high alcohol, grippy structured high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet spices, licorice, Provencal herbs, elegant red cherries, red plums, garrigue, chalky rock dust minerality. Long finish. Very good quality. Juicy elegant complex CdP. Promising CdP and very drinkable already, though it seems to have structure to age. But anyway, I am inclined to say I personally recommend to drink CdPs within 10-12 years nowadays, to best appreciate them in their prime.

This deep ruby wine is a blend of 75% Grenache, 12% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah, with the remaining 3% comprised of Cinsault, Counoise and Vaccarèse. After Vinturi-decantation, it is immediately expressive of Montmorency cherries, raspberries, Provençal herbs, licorice and baking spices. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic, softly oaked and with well-integrated alcohol (listed as 15%), it has excellent mid-palate density and a lengthy finish that carries some tannic grip. This well-crafted Châteauneuf elegantly reflects the terroir and is an absolute delight to drink. Enjoy it throughout the decade. Drink now-2030.

Focused on its strawberry, cherry and red plum notes, the fruits are soft, sweet and pure. Refined, elegant, forward, juicy and fresh, with touches of herbs and a chalky finish, this is quite nice. Give it a year or two in the cellar.

Drinking well now, lovely cherry fruit, nicely balanced, young and fresh with enough acidity to age well. Paired nicely with gnudi.
