The 2005 Château Bellefont-Belcier is simply gorgeous! Two hours of decanting allow this full-bodied Saint-Émilion to showcase elegance, poise, and an endless array of flavors. It stands as a striking example of a wine getting better with age, evolving into a timeless classic. The dusty finish, coupled with an obvious potential for improvement, only adds to its appeal. Supper lovely!

Magnum bought from an IB source about a year ago. It is almost pull and pour which would suggest it is at or approaching it’s peak but has time left. Very little acidity with light tannins and soft fruit flavours. Good length. Decanted for 2-3 hours and drunk with roast beef and it was lovely and excellent value (at the price I paid - it’s gone up a lot).

This was solid. Decanted for 1.5 hours before dinner next to a 2000 Sociando Mallet. We had smoked brisket and some baby back ribs. For me, Bordeaux is at its best with a big protein meal.
Underbrush with cherries and a healthy dose of cedar closet - and a wool sweater in there somewhere.
Loved it!!

Decanted 40 mins before drinking. Continued to open up for the next hour. Very nice, classic style.
