  Excellent Cabernet from Elis in Western Peloponnese where some of the best greek Cabs are made.
  Deeply colored wine with a nose that shows some development but is still far from full maturity. Concentrated berry fruit notes together with a whiff of glue and a background of band-aid, but it isn't as bad as it sounds. Fruit is very dense and abundant and these medicinal notes just add to the complexity of the wine.
  Medium to full body, with ripe tannins acidity is as it should be and flavor-wise the wine has depth of ripe red berry fruit, typical Cabernet herbaceous notes and quite prominent new oak flavors.
  The wine wins because of its strength and structure, despite its flaws (medicinal notes, prominent new oak) it is very enjoyable. Could age further - at least five more years.

  Garnet colour, medium depth, no blue hues. Ripe and concetrated nose of ripe berries, sweet spices, cedar and earth. Sweet in the mouth, flavourful with well balanced acidity, a very enjoyable wine of medium to full body. Good typicity and food friendliness.

  Opened and pourred immediately into the glasses. Dark and inky color. A superb Bordeaux nose, plenty of concetrated black forest fruits, cedar and smoke. Full- bodied wine with soft but still young and promissing tannins. On the palate nice flavors of chocolate, vanilla, blackcurrants, berries and coffee. A smoky aftertaste of 35 - 40 sec. An impressive "garage wine" from Greece, with excellent ageing potential for at least 7 - 8 years. See also my tasting note for the 2003 vintage.
