Still developing at 12 years of age. Nose was expressive and intense. Aromas of maturity, red and black fruit and a healthy dose of barnyard. No obvious sign of oak which in other vintages was used a little heavy. On the palate it's flavorful, medium to full body, good structure with chewy but mellow tannins and refreshing acidity. Has a good finish. A very enjoyable wine despite its rusticity.

This time I drank it at home, over dinner with friend after being decanted for almost 3 hours. Paradoxically, tanins appeared firmer than previously and the wine showed overall more youthful and with aging potential, capable of improving over the next 5 years. Othewise, my previous note(s) applie(s).

Blind-tasted alongside another 10 "ultra-premium Greek reds", 1 year after my first tasting of these wines. Dark red, garnet. Intense band-aid (Brett?), leather, green pepper, cedar and red cherries on the nose. Mid-bodied with soft tanins, good fruit and high acidity. As I guessed last year, this has not improved after a year of cellaring. 87 blind.

Deep purple. Has the typical nose of a Western Peloponnese Cabernet Sauvignon (call it a more concentrated and fruity version of a Triphylia cab) with cassis, loam, balsamic aromas and hints of cedar and leather. Full bodied and round with polished tannins, dense fruit and bright acidity. Long finish. More forward compared to 2003, it is already accessible and I strongly dought if it will improve signifficantly with further bottle aging.

Notes from a magnum bottle: Decanted for about 3 hours. Needs absolutely more... Deep and attractive purple color with black core. The nose is dominated by meaty notes, leather, wood and barnyard. The level of fruit is still low, but I think it happens because the wine is very young. On the palate is rich and round, with vibrant tannins and flavors of cherries, currants, plums, tobacco, spice box and chocolate. Very long and persistent aftertaste After some years (5 - 6 perhaps) this wine will be deserved 3 - 4 points more (93+).
