Racy, vibrant and thoroughly enjoyable. I suppose some people might require food with this but I personally found it to be quite fabulous all by its lonesome thanks to its mouth-watering acidity and lip-smacking mineral-fruit balance that keeps you going back for more.
APPEARANCE: Color & intensity: pale lemon with faint green nuances
NOSE: Intensity: medium (+) Aromas: lime, crushed slate, grapefruit, lime zest, white peach, white flowers, green apple, hint of lemon thyme Development: developing
PALATE: Sweetness: dry Acidity: medium (+) Alcohol: medium Body: medium Intensity: medium (+) Flavors: lime, grapefruit, lime zest, crushed slate, white peach, hints of lemon thyme and salt Finish: long
CONCLUSIONS: Quality level: very good Potential for ageing: can drink now but has good potential for further ageing

89/90. Has lovely unfruity aromas of slatey apples, honey, herbs, stonefruits+lemons+limes. Its unfruity chiselled dry light to medium bodied austere slatey/salty a bit foursquare freshly fruited stonefruits palate ends mediumish, fresh and tapering. 12%. Lay down 5-10 years. Decent value at 14 Euros. A bit unknit at the moment. Improves in the glass. A quintessential vin de terroir!

A bottle from Dönnhoffs best dry entry level bottling, unscrewed and enjoyed, light 12% ABV, very fresh and lime driven, good energetic grip, a very good bottle with a really decent length, recommended, **(-***)

Had this as a sipper. Pleasant, apricot flavors, medium body, lighter acidity than I expected.
