Upfront brioche, biscuit, usual bubbly characteristics. Apple juice colour, ironic as Granny Smiths are the predominate primary descriptor. I don’t drink a lot of bubbles, but I really enjoyed this. Colour and fruit development, both suggest this is reaching its peak. Drink over the next 2 years. Happy Xmas!

Tasted over 2 hrs and on Days 2 and 3 -translucent med gold -very yeasty, apple -high acidity, some quinine, initially not very complex or interesting; picked up quite a bit of depth and complexity over the 2 days after opening -OK now but this really needs many more years to shine

Extremely fruit forward. A lot of brioche and cream and almost tropical-fruit flavor profile. Long finish. Nice champagne, but probably not for everyone.

(Pierre Gimonnet et Fils "Cuvée Paradoxe" Brut) ($64.00) Now two-thirds Pinot Noir (35% Aÿ and 31% Mareuil) and even 9% of the Chardonnay is Mareuil – a first! Disgorged 10/10, this is a wild boy, ripe and round and not in the least cerebral! Just a meaty-sweetie hedonistic Champagne, one of those party-in-your-mouth wines. Should be available in the Autumn.

Drinking very nicely. Yeasty, with a trace of oxidation. Interesting and tasty.
