Golden straw color. Nose is all about the petrol but with a strong aroma of mint and honey. Palate is more than off dry now—a lot of sugar. There’s not a lot else going on except for some lime; it’s a bit one dimensional. Definitely some fizz to it, as others have noted.

Good classic slightly mature riesling nose, bit too much sweetness on the early palate for my tastes, made it hard for anything else to follow through. Very drinkable though!

WES - New Zealand - Anything But Sauvignon Blanc (LSE Holbourn): Pale straw colour. Clear and bright. Petrol dominated nose - classic bottle aging for Riesling (intersting as under Stelvin). Wet stone and a touch of honey on the nose as well. Touch of petillance in the mouth, sweet red apples, good balancing acidity.

V pale; floral, grapey, touch of spearmint, restrained; off dry, refreshing acidity, expansive mouthfilling, rounded; sweetness on long tangy finish. Better value to be found in Germany. score 15

Good but not outstanding. Good fruit. Sherbet fizz on the tongue. A bit one dimensional. Medium acidity
