  • A more traditional style of Rioja, though with rusticity (a very slight and pleasant amount of VA and Brett to add complexity) and still a lot of intense lively ripe dark red primary fruit remaining for a nine-year-old wine. Well-integrated American oak. Very good.

  • PnP, consumed over 2 hours. Appearance: Clear, medium garnet with some edge clouding. Nose: Medium- intensity with developed aromas of mushroom, earth, dried cherry, and leather. Palate: Dry, medium+ tannins are soft and well-integrated, medium acid, medium body, 14.5% abv with developed flavors of cranberry, earth, and leather with a medium finish. Drink now.

  • Bright purple ruby with attractive notes of Bing cherry, soft toast, creamy tinned cherries and dried orange peel. Bright and pops out of the glass, there is a little tobacco leaf to remind us of Rioja.
A soft entry, this wine is very approachable with soft creamy fruits, vanilla-infused cherries and sweet raspberry all set against a fresh undulating acidity. Dry but with a sweet texture, the tannins are velvety soft and furry. Flavours linger with bottled maraschino cherries, tobacco, rum & raisin ice cream and Christmas brandy butter! It flows along the palate, brushing into a vanilla pod, spices and more dried orange peel. Fair lengthy; it is all one way without being that complex. Super approachable!
