  Deep purple with violet rim Smoke, grilled meat, blackberries, and plum on the nose. Big flavor, black cherry, blackberries, hint of rhubarb, tobacco. The flavor becomes quite Jamy with decanting but maintains its structure and spiciness. Bold tannins, strong acidity, very dry. This wine is very pleasant.

  I served this in my wine course. Iron, cured meats, black olive. Medium weight. Surprisingly soft tannins for such a young Cornas.

  2 ounce taste at the ferry building in San Francisco.
  
  Dark Ruby. Not showing whole lot of viscosity.
  
  The nose shows cracked black pepper and red fruit pastille. Raspberry. It is in the mouth where this really struts its stuff. Bold, Rich Black, black fruit really sexy. This is really a hell of a good value and comes with a bonus that it can be drunk younger than the regular cuvee. Love it.
