Dutton Ranch 05 Chard Vanilla, whipped cream. Not even any real signs of age. Not nutty. This is some amazing acid for RRV, better acid than my last experience. Tree fruit palate. Not anywhere near the tropics. Floral and some fading oak expression. Lovely complexity. I wasn't expecting this wine to be in such good shape. At Hinterland with Elizabeth and the 'rents. Has an orange zest and sparkly mint oil/ mineral, glitter edge. Drink to 2020 at least.

this drink is making me rethink the last note. let this wine ride it out. fabulous tonight. medium acid and the oak on the palate is slowly fading into dried floral notes, but still provides quite the textural notes across the finish. the acid again shows to be the ringer for cali or australia. such a subtle vanilla note on the palate. pear fruit is so beautiful and the finish just soars tonight. this wine is in serious harmony this evening.

Terrific bottle of chardonnay. In perfect balance between fruit and acidity/minerality. Not overly-oaked, just enough to add a creamy richness to the overall flavour. Probably the best american chardonnay I have drunk.

Sunday dinner at Van Rite's (Milwaukee): wonderful creamy nose and palate. pineapple all over this one. the acidity seems in just the right spot, but i can't see this one hanging on much past the next two years. so easy to consume.

Again, big time crowd pleaser. Very light oak shows up barely on the finish. East to drink. Not very complex.
