First Wednesday Wine Club (Napoli in Bocca, Haberfield): Served blind. Savoury, spiced, crushed rock, slightly carbonic prettiness, berried dark fruit. In the mouth it's juicy and peppery with plenty of spice, tight, chalky tannins that are persistent and don't dominate - nicely done - berried fruit again. The rock, carbonic, berried fruit and tannic profile put me in mind of Priorat Grenache, young - say 3-4 years.

Definitely needed time to open. It was fine but I think it was a little simple.

I liked it. It is lighter bodied but also well produced with nuanced notes and balanced acidty.
