This is a classic, workmanlike St. Estephe. The floral bouquet really stands out. It is 13.5% alcohol. It is ruby colored with hints of purple, richly colored, forecasting a wine of class and quality. This can be had in the $20USD range, which makes it an exceptional value. My previous favorite of this wine was the 2016 but this 2019 surpasses that great vintage. It is a mini-Calon Segur. It has raspberries and black cherry fruit. It matched best with the sirloin steak tonight. Another great Medoc from the (epic?) 2019 vintage. You get the sense that this was a vintage where no bad wines were made. Rating: 90 points.

One of the few times my palate doesn’t line up with Cameron’s. Nose was promising with blue fruits and some earthiness but the palate was very disappointing. Almost no fruit flavor with an extreme amount of acid drowning it out. Medium minus body. Very strange overall and first time in awhile I’ve poured a bottle down the drain.
