  0.375 L bottle mid Dec 2022: not decanted; deep red purple color; dark and red berries plus almonds in the nose; full body; started somewhat dull, however with some juicy acidity on the palate; over the course of the next 2-3 h the wine got more and more coarse and unbalanced. 82+?/100
  
  My first bottle Chateau Villars 2019 out of 12 demi bottles aquired en primeur was so far not as good as expected. The wine is still extremely young and will hopefully develop and blossom in 5-10 years to come. I will try my next bottle earliest in 2025.

  Soft, supple-textured, medium-bodied, cocoa and infused, red pit fruit packed wine with a savory edge. The finish is marked by green olives and herbs in the end note. You can enjoy this easily on release. Drink from 2022-2031.

  89 vvPunkte (74% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Franc, 15%. Verkostet im Dezember 2021 in Windisch). Kräftiges Rubinrot. Die Nase ist subtil, tiefgründig, offenbart einen komplexen Mix aus dunkler Frucht, Cassisgelee, kräuterigen Noten, schwarze Schokolade. Der Gaumen ist füllig, sehr üppig, das sind schon fast zwei Mund voll Wein, gut strukturiert, mit reifen Gerbstoffen, einer milden Säure und merklich Alkohol baut dieser Wein enorm viel Druck auf und hallt im Finale lange nach.   Luscious, rich, ripe, and dark, red fruits, espresso, licorice and dark cocoa on the nose. The wine is plush, round, and juicy with a blast of dark fruits in the finish. This offers a lot of bang for the buck for savvy, Bordeaux value wine seekers. 90-92 Pts
