New Year's lunch. From memory. Beguiling nose. Sweet tropical fruit, with a floral note all seamlessly knit together in a very elegant expression. On the palate it's quite sweet, more than a typical auslese, and overall I felt it would have needed some more acidity, but was fun to drink anyway.

Brilliant, laser beam focus in an Auslese GK level! Wonderful structure, could smell this all night. Of course as others have noted, the sugar levels are very very high, but it does not get in the way of this wine. Super smooth, lush pure.

Uncorked DK BYO to NOMA: La Tāche 96 and fried eggs (NOMA): Light yellow. Very intense nose of mature apples, flowers, honey and minerals. Very fat, intense, yet fresh and delienated. While this is released as an Auslese it holds a level of sugar that would earn it the right to be classified as TBA without problem. Another great 06 Riesling from Germany!
