Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 93 points

  • Decanted for three hours. Blueberries, lilacs, bacon fat, black pepper, tarragon and lava rock. Full body with a long, sailing finish that shows the noir fruit. Emboldened and almost effortless, with cottony tannins and such a fine balance, with a structured edge. Poised and a juicy middle. Decant or wait. Majestic and yet easy going, with a sumptuous undertone. Drink 2027 -.

  • Drank this to see if it was worth stocking up and aging. Half a day bottle opened and then caraffed, as it was still very closed up after 3 hours. Started with some sour red cherries but then transitioned into darker fruits, meat, herbs (rosemary and thyme) some black pepper. I think that with a lot of age it might gain a few more points but I don't think this will ever be more than a 96pt wine. I could be very wrong though. Other bottlings from TL really impressed me (CR and C9Pcs) this one was good but not great.
