  • Dry River Zoom Tasting with Wilco Lam. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance some sediment, deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of fragrant crushed black pepper spice, blackberries, boysenberries, dark plums, violets, lashes of animal meat. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol, high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of blackberries, dark plums, boysenberries, black pepper, sweet spices, freshly killed animal meat. Long finish.
Very good quality. Nice Syrah. A bit more development and will hit a good stride.

  • Popped and aired for 3 hours in the bottle, had it and thought wow this is so cedary ... Like a cigar box...
Accidentally left in bottle for 6 days with just cork stopper... Everything integrated nicely.
Color is clean clear maroon. Nose is aged cigar box with concentrated black berry fragrance. The palate is balanced lingering silky acidity and not heavy at all. Very juicy...
Love to try a back vintage.
