First time drinking this vintage. As a vegetarian, I have to say it went excellently with a range of things. We drank this on day 1 after opening and letting it breathe for 8 hours with a Mt. Tamm Brie and it brought out some wonderful raspberry jam notes. Also went well with a black bean quesadilla and guacamole. Went well with a mushroom bolognese lasagna but surprisingly this was the least favorable pairing. Cannot wait to try on day 2 with some different foods.

beautifully packaged and tight, deep licorice and herbal scents, full bodied, balanced with powerful acid, dry and tannic still, packed with flavors of berry, herbs and dirt, obviously early to open one, this is built to cellar, feels like a clenched fist holding a handful of complexity, hold, try not to be too... impulsive

Smokey, chocolate, bacon fat. Great with chanterelles in red wine butter sauce and NY wagyu. Exceptional depth. Enjoy.
