Pop and pour into a decanter. Not entirely fair, but neither is life. In the glass, ruby red and clear at the rim, shading to medium-dark red at the core. On the nose, currants, raspberries, and strawberries. On the palate, this comes across much more like a low-end Ridge zin than a grenache/syrah blend - plums, blackberries, raspberries, and rough tannins throughout the mid- and back-palate. Still, a fun dinner drinker.
