  • Double decant. Concentrated dark fruits. Very drying finish. Heavy oak treatment is a bit much for me on this one. Usually enjoy Adams bench though they are very big wines.

  • This wine is quite remarkable - just opened and, of course, it’s very young. But welcoming and accessible but with balance and elegance and great depth. Striking aromatics, in particular the signature baker’s chocolate along with mint and blackberry. Not a particularly strong earthen component, but that will likely come. Most striking, though, was something completely new for me - while I regularly smell baker’s chocolate in Washington cabs and, in particular, Adams Bench, in the mouth this had a streak of milk chocolate. Odd but beguiling. This is really quite a lovely wine and in 3-5 years and beyond I think it will be extraordinary.
