  Colore rosso granata intenso con sfumature aranciate. Il bouquet è ampio e di grande complessità, nel quale emergono profumi floreali di petali di rosa appassita, note balsamiche di menta ed erbe boschive, sentori di tabacco, liquirizia e spezie. In bocca è robusto e avvolgente, dotato di una struttura importante, sorretta da tannini decisi ma ben integrati, da una vivace acidità e da una fresca componente minerale. Finale persistente in cui si richiamano note di spiccata sapidità.

  After a Gattinara buying spree over the past few years, finally drank one. Decanted for
  1.5h at home; at the restaurant whiffs of fennel and mint and alpine herbs(?); as expected delicate and dirty at once; still rather tannic in a good way; looking forward to the later vintages in a few years.

  A palette that leads to a non-expensive but full nose. Soft but tight tannin. . A well-balanced finish with a good acidity. Very Good.

  This is absolutely amazing. Absolutely an extraordinary, bright, floral and menthol with tobacco-informed Gattinara. We drank this as part of the Vinous Media Alto Piemonte Rising virtual tasting in January 2021 (during Covid). We used our Coravin to extract wine that day, and 2.5 months later just opened the bottle to really enjoy it decanted and in its full beauty. Gorgeous balance, brightness, acid and tannins all in harmony. This wine will be very different as it ages, and it will be better and better, we suspect (but, alas, will never know!).
