Riddled with brett. Have to call this flawed, drinkable but the brettanomyces overwhelmed the underlying fruit. Previous tastings were better, so not every bottle shows the same level of taint, but this is a consistent problem with the (otherwise excellent) wines of Raul Perez.

Yum. Light ruby colored with floral nose with notes of graphite. Taste has moderate tannins, pepper, and a light sweetness in the middle. Really enjoyable.

I'm with bathtub58's assessment. This reminded me of a high quality appellation level California Pinot Noir--cola, hints of new oak, open aromatics of red fruit and hard to identify spices/herbs, mild acidity, low tannins, rounded mid-palate and long finish. I wonder if the Trousseau (Bastardo) level is relatively higher in this cuvee.
In any case, this is a very refined, well-made wine, similar in style to the '18 Las Gundinas, but overall feels like it has more complexity and depth than that cuvee. On the other hand, I've generally preferred the tension and structure of La Vitoriana and El Rapolao, as these have shown darker fruit and more of a 'crushed rocks' sort of feel.
Good, interesting wine, feels like one to drink now and over the next 3-5 years. At $30 to $40, the price is on point for the quality and style, albeit not a great QPR. For my second bottle, I'll hold until 2024 to 2026.

This was consumed next to a couple light Italian reds and seemed a bit sweet, likely suffering in comparison. Medium body, ripe red fruits, fresh. Will have to revisit. 90-91.
