The flavors are true to cab. Black currant dominantes with hints of menthol and mint. Oak is well judged and integrated. But the wine is ultimately a little light and undercomplex. Perfectly nice drink and better than bar wine, but I won't seek it out.

Classic Napa Cabernet nose of black currants, black berries, oak, spice and a hint of minty eucalyptus. Medium-full bodied and moderately tannic with broad, but rounded shoulders. This is an excellent candidate for short to medium term cellaring. Given how a bottle of 2013 recently showed, this should be singing in 5 years, but is excellent now in its youth. 92+
Night 3: This continues to be a delicious bottle of wine and I'm thrilled to taste this in 5 years!

Starting to try the Napa 2018s, and so far they’re quite promising, this bottle included. As an entry level wine, this Cab delivers great value, with a hidden complexity that suggests aging this bottle will be worthwhile. Displays a nice dark purple red in the glass. Soft fruity notes of black currant, ripe plum, dark cherry on the nose with some softer tobacco leaf in the mix. Tannins are medium - I actually would’ve preferred them a bit harder. Very present use of oak but not in an obnoxious way, it will mellow nicely. I’d say 5 years will improve this, but not more than 10 given the lack of tannic structure. But it bodes well for some of their single vineyards they occasionally release, eager to try those when available. Drank after two hour decant.

Had at Marrow in Detroit (Great Restaurant). Solid dark, good fruit and oak balance, well liked by the table.
