Herbs on the nose, creamy, smells quite oaky, Big and ripe on the palate, vanilla, seems like there's a lot of oak here, honey, lemons, lowish acidity. There's a sort of nothern rhone white thing going on here. Needs food but I like this. Could probably do with a year or two in bottle.

Nose of lychee and new oak (French or Slovenian?). Very heavily oaked on the palate, hard to taste beyond the oak. A little sharpness and moderate acidity, but overall fairly polished from the oak.

Grapes: Antão Vaz and Arinto, Roupeiro and others. Matured six months in stainless steel tanks and in new American and French oak barrels, with ageing on fine lees. PnP. On the nose citrus and a sweet touch, on the palate fresh and clean, medium bodied with a hint of residual sugar, medium length, 88-89. The oak treatment is very gentle and hard to recognize. Nice wine to start the evening, very good now but may still improve within the next one or two years.

The oak is a bit heavy-handed and omnipresent for my personal taste but otherwise a well-made wine.
