  PnP. Nose of roses and blood orange and dusty earth. Black cherry, candied cherry, load of floral flavors and plummy earth. Broad tannins, very tart acidity, white pepper on a quick finish.

  Quite reticent, even over two days. Piercing, light, vivacious...but not particularly expansive or captivating. It may be in a phase. Not my favorite vintage of Cuvée J.

  Light and pretty, with a noticeable, seemingly excessive, deep kiss of quality oak. We finished the bottle fairly quickly. The last half glass showed best. Let it breathe.

  Well made wine with some sous bois but for me a bit too simple. And to be honest, I’ve had several vintages of this at varying ages and either it’s so austere that it needs a lot of time or they just don’t wow me…
