Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Colour of dried blood. Translucent. Decanted for lots of sediment. Against the odds (1973 was supposed to be poor), this was lovely. A bit awkward with a touch of apparent oxidation to start, then this blossomed. Always pretty high in acidity but tannins fully resolved. With food, this red-fruited and gentle wine was charming. On a downward slope but it held up well over a couple of hours.
