Decanted it about an hour before drinking. The wine is definitely mature with garnet color. Medium bodied and wonderfully sweet fruit balanced by more nuanced flavors that develop in nicely aged CdP wines. I really enjoyed it, and my only regret was that it was served at a dinner party so I didn't get a chance to see how the wine would have evolved throughout the evening. Thankfully, one more bottle left in the cellar.
This has aged gracefully. Tasted blind, it had me fooled for a northern rhone. Expressive nose of ketchup, herbs, red fruit and cedar. Good acidity, resolved tannin. Medium finish. Elegant for the vintage.
