  Man muß nur Geduld haben. Fantastischer Wein, der noch immer auf dem Höhepunkt ist.

  Nose with wood smoke and blackberries, quite voluptuous in the way these young traditional Riojas of 2001 seem to be. Good depth of flavour, many-layered, lots of acidity. Excellent and sure to improve over a number of years.

  Delicious Rioja. Good smoke and spice on the nose and dark fruit on the palate. Also a bit of bloody meat. Strong yet well integrated tannins make for a good finish. Very impressive.

  Lovely fruity nose straight from opening which was very soft in the glass. Classic Rioja somewhere between Crianza and Reserva.
  Left in the glass and open bottle for an hour or so. Colour was deep and consistent with little edging. Nose was fruity with oak behind - which came out in the tasting. Pretty smooth, rich, very full and a pretty long finish. No problems with aftertaste or tannic style end.
  Kept quite well overnight, stayed smooth although the intensity of fruit had dropped off 24 hours later. Reasonable vfm at the price which was about a tenner GBP.
