This is a very different kind of Sauvignon Blanc than many other Napa SB's at this price point. While it is expensive at $25 (what I paid) the wine is slightly more French in style than new world. In the finish, the wood infusion that has taken place begins to emerge. None of this before the acidity dominated the profile first. Clearly a wine that is built to improve.
The wine has a smoky and cedar laden flavor in the aftertaste.

Pale yellow. Med+ lemon, grapefruit, melon, white flowers, yellow peach, tart tropical fruit, wet stone and just a hint of oak spice. Stainless steel and some oak, including a touch of new French Oak. Aging on lees adds complexity and fullness. Dry, with generous fruit. Med to med (+) acidity, high alcohol (14.6% but seems lower). Med body, med (+) to pronounced flavor intensity and nice length. Drink now, not intended for aging. Really good QPR in the high $10s - low $20s.

Very fresh with lemongrass, grapefruit and kiwi. Medium to full bodied and impressively smooth. Drink now.
