Wow. I love this wine. No alcohol heat. Very complex nose of black and red fruit and a little Pinot funk. Proper storage pays off. Drinking very well in 2013. A steal for $28. Wish I had a case or more.

Better than last time we had this. It is settling down a little. Somewhat earthy, a little woody, and I agree with other tasters that there are some cola flavors and some vanilla (although that is pretty muted).

This wine is still coming on a little strong. Maybe in a few more years it will settle down and integrate. Kind if disjointed and clunky, and the alcohol is a little hot. That said, it's not unenjoyable, and it definitely has a fungal, earthy things that says this is a real Pinot. A lot of sweet oak at first but that has gone away but still the alcohol and the general power of this wine are a little too much -- at least for now.

(Melville Pinot Noir Estate) Dark cherry red color; appealing, floral, tart raspberry, saline nose showing some reduction; youthful, rosehips, sous bois, mineral, saline palate; could use 2-3 more years; medium-plus finish

Delicious. Holding its own. Plenty of fruit still there.
