  • Popped and poured. Light color clear red with no cloudiness. Nice aromatics of ripe figs, berries, herbs and mint. Well balanced with soft tannins and layers of figs, mint and raspberries.

  • Not an overly expressive nose but subtle layers of strawberry, mint, red figs and raspberries. On the palette hints of strawberries, cherries, raspberries and red licorice. Pleasant wine.

  • By the glass. More exuberant and lush even coming from the same area, Santa Rita. Spiced, orange rind plus red fruit. Lovely combination. On the palate showed a silky texture but a tannic finish. Just good because that nose.

  • Subsequent notes on this wine from over a year ago. Medium bright ruby red in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of blueberries, cherries & plums with overtones of spice notes & floral notes of violets, earthy/dusty, minerals, herbs & a hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, strawberries & cranberries with spices, minerals, herbs & a hint of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging.
