  • Tasted together with the ‘19 Dujac and Grivot Eche, the ‘19 Forey pours a medium dark crimson. Has that ripe pinosity going for it right away on the nose. More dark plum than red fruit, hints of cola but doesn’t quite go there, more heady vosne spice. Very even tempered on the palate, fairly open as with the nose, with the flavors repeating. Leads with its ripe, dark fruit, with good baking spice accenting. Shows good medium acid and fine grained tannins leading to a resonant finish with good length. Not super intense but quietly grippy and solid. Seems like the market has this priced about right. Bottle prep: Same as Grivot, checked an hour or two prior to serving, decided against decanting.

  • Double decant for an hour and then open for another hour. Deep and rich. Full of flavor and weight. Smooth and luscious. Some interesting spice and herbal notes. Going to be something in the future.

  • Bright and punchy, with a nose of sarsaparilla, blue fruits and baked spices. It is dense and luscious, with outstanding depth of fruit, cut by fine, minerally acidity. It is deep and long, with so much great material upon which to age.
