During the Grands Jour de Bourgogne walkabout tasting, no detailed notes. A step up from the Vosne wines, aromatic and polished palate. Much better tannins than the 2005 next to it.

Intense red berry, rose petal and flint. This wine is deep and wide. It has velvety texture and is expansive. There’s some chew to the very long finish. 50% whole bunch. 70% new oak. So much material here.

Vosne Millésime - Noblesse des Clos Vougeot - Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Walkaround tasting with producers. Sturdy without being overstructured, the stars are the bright red fruits and savory spice. Great density and power, great length. Seemingly more accessible than Petit Monts, but this still needs plenty of cellar time.

Spicy, fleshy, powerful, layered, deep and long. Beautiful fruit flavours. Relatively tight and linear for now. Should blossom into something special.
