  • 3.5 hr decant, ruby to purple color. Plentiful notes of dust, gravel, flint balanced by rich raspberry preserves fruit, strawberry shortcake, dark berry custard, chocolate ganache, scrumptious spices and mint. Nice lifting acidity for a big wine, huge tannins on long finish.
    Paired with pizza!

  • Just a brilliant expression of Oakville Ranch with big lush fruit. Loads of red berries and dark fruit but so much dust and Oakville dirt. I feel like the aromas of the earth come first and then the mesmerizing fruit. Hints of graphite, sweet spices, herbs and vanilla bean are present as well. So much balance and freshness for a big wine! Cheers all!

  • Slowly sipping on this purple/magenta beauty and with time it’s becoming richer, deeper, complex and so voluptuous! Concentrated dark fruits liqueur mixed with red raspberries and strawberries. Hints of crushed pebbles, tobacco, espresso and freshly picked garden herbs. In addition there are nuances of baking spices and vanilla on the palate held strongly by good acid, sexy tannins, on long gorgeous finish. This is already great for me but will get better with time.

  • Brilliant wine to start off 2023 wine campaign. 2 hr decant, ruby red to purplish magenta. Fragrant nose of ripe red raspberries, cherry jam, milk chocolate, dusty pavement, dark plums, mocha, roasted coffee with exquisite exotic spices. Super velvety on the palate, hint of leather, graphite, ample richness and opulence while maintaining deftness. Love the incredible balance for a big Oakville monster like this. Bright acidity, sweet tannins on super long finish.

  • Coravined. Nearly opaque purple magenta color. Black cherry, cassis, strawberry, pomegranate, gravel, raspberry liqueur, dark chocolate, roasted almonds, and tobacco on the nose. Smooth, tongue drying, full bodied palate. Full tannins on the longish finish.

My notes are aided by the tasting rooms official notes in this case. This is young and will need another year or two to fill out. Tons of potential here.
