Tasted next to the 2019 and showed a similar profile: beautiful aromatics, substantial phenolics and this - almost numbing- acidity and CO2 level. Are these wines bottled too early?

Incredible wine with great balance. Laser beam acidity, unripe pineapple, apricot, stone fruit, tropical... Petroleum is present as well together with great minerality. The fruit is more shown on this one compared to Donnhoff Hermannshohle. Did not evolve much with air. It kept on delivering for hours. 94p+ drink now and until 2040

I loved this. Like, a lot. Tropical with this intense guava note but also pronounced minerality and acids. Hyper-concentrated yet classy. Love it and it will age.

The chalkiest one of these I can remember drinking, this has zero sense of RS, but comes off almost like a Chardonnay Coteaux Champenois. If that’s your type of wine - it certainly is mine - it’s a spectacular as you can get. There’s the usual grass and lime and whatnot but this is so chalky that it drowns all of that out. Much better and more structured than the 2020 VdF, as it should be.

Pronounced nose with strong petrol notes, mineral, tropical fruits. Medium+ acidity.
