Initiall it is somewhat intriguing on the nose but quickly it becomes one-dimensional and over-oaked. I didn't expect much so good value for many if you are in to white wines heavy on oak.

Drank with deep fried chicken fingers, perhaps a curious choice but one that worked. Feared wine was past its prime but far from it....could go another couple years. Very creamy pear aroma, and much glycerin on mouth feel. I've never had a bad bottle of this and this was no exception. Would, and will buy again, and probably try with salmon in a cream type sauce. Very nice wine.

Going against prevailing opinion here, but I found this to be overly oaked, overly alcoholic and rather graceless. Slightly sour lemon fruit pinned under the wood. A difficult bottle to finish and not a style of semillon I'll be seeking out again.

This is a really good wine for the price -- it is an exceptional wine if you require a dry white to cook with and want to drink the rest of the bottle. It is crisp with notes of melon and honey with an easy clean finish.
