Pepper and florals on the nose. On the palate, sweet plum and cherry dominate, with sweet oriental spices, tobacco, and violet also surfacing. Supremely drinkable already, with a creamy texture thanks to suede like tannins and fresh acidity. Perhaps just a tad sweeter than I would prefer, but the finish is peppery (with tobacco and mint complementing) which makes it moreish, nonetheless. Rather classic and great value, too. Drink now - 2030. Clearly better than the 2020 Lestage I had next to it.

The nose with its flowers, cherries and herbs gets things going. The palate is medium-bodied, with ample fruit, along with a strong, savory, herbal and chalky, green olive character in the finish. It is interesting to note that Belle-Vue is one of the few Bordeaux wines produced using 5 allowable grape varieties. Drink from 2024-2038.

Spicy black raspberries, tobacco, cedar and flowers work on the nose, while on the palate the wine is bright, chewy, crisp and fresh with endnotes of savory kirsch and peppery currants. Belle-Vue is one of the few Bordeaux wines produced using 5 allowable grape varieties. 89-91
